Don has had a long involvement with Triple A. Initially when his workshop maintained the Triple A fleet of vehicles, then over time he decided to also become a driving instructor.
Don enjoys driving instruction; taking a nervous student through to become a confident, competent and safe driver. He finds his experience as a mechanic is useful when explaining the dynamics of a vehicle to students. Don’s interests outside of driving instruction are varied but the main ones are music, vehicle modification and restoration, and motor racing. |
When Jamie passed his driving test his instructor encouraged him to get the required qualification to become an instructor himself.
Jamie says that "30 years flies by when you do what you love!" He really enjoys coaching drivers of all levels to learn "best practice", iron out bad habits, seeing them having light bulb moments & developing driving as a “life skill”. In his time off he's a home handyman, keen fisherman, gardener, and on occasion you might find him slogging up hills and flying down the local trails on a mountain bike. |
