Changes to the New Zealand give way rules come into effect Sunday the 25th March at 5am.
We've seen lots of information about the 2 rules that are changing but not much about what is remaining the same.

On 27th February 2012 the Restricted Licence test is changing to reflect the requirement of 120 practice driving hours.

Currently we find many parents prefer either to have a professional instructor do all of the teaching & practice (too scary or too many arguments!) OR to do all of the teaching and practice themselves
(too expensive!).

We have always recommended a joint effort between parents/supervisors and a professional driving instructor to give the learner driver the best preparation possible for their driving future. 

We have developed a new course to help parents and learner drivers to achieve the 120 practice hours necessary to pass the new Restricted Licence test. The course is made up of both theory & practical elements and will provide the tools to:

• give parents/supervisors the confidence to take practice sessions
  
• prevent arguments, tears & door slamming
• keep the costs of instruction to a minimum 
• get the learner up-skilled and competent faster
