COVID-19 DELTA ALERT LEVEL 2 SAFETY PROCEDURES

6/9/2021

Updated 6th September 2021
To safely conduct lessons for students and instructors at Covid-19 Alert Level 2 we are using the following protocols:
  • It is strongly recommended to wear a face mask when in a public vehicle – this includes driving school cars.  Unless you have a medical reason, please wear a face mask for your lesson.  The instructor will also be wearing a face mask.  Click on this link for how to use a face mask safely.
  • If you have any signs of being unwell, or have been in contact with someone suspected or diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days, please reschedule your lesson for at least 2 weeks-time, or longer if symptoms persist.
  • We will provide hand sanitizer and will ask you to use this before and after your lesson. Your Instructor will hand sanitize between lessons also.
  • The instructor will have a QR code for you to scan.
  • If you are using your own car for the lesson please ensure all touching surfaces have been wiped down immediately before the instructor gets into your car.
  • Sorry, we will not be able to shake your hand.
  • No passengers in the car during the lesson, unless it is absolutely necessary. Please ask your Instructor prior to the lesson.
  • Online payments are now preferred, please pay 48 hours prior to the lesson.
  • Please advise us, prior to your lesson, if you have any of the following conditions: chronic asthma, diabetes, or any immune suppressed conditions.
  • Gloves - You may want to wear gloves, please provide these yourself.
For each lesson your Driving Instructor will be:
  • Going over all the touching surfaces in their vehicle with alcohol/disinfectant wipes before your lesson
  • Setting the vehicle ventilation system to bring in fresh air, not to recirculate air. This may also include windows being opened.  Air vents will be set to forward of the vehicle to produce an air curtain (positive air pressure) between you and the instructor.
  • Greeting you outside the car to ascertain if you are showing any symptoms of being unwell.
  • Using the instruction vehicles for lessons only and not private use.
